Did anyone ever meet him?
Here are some links of him casting:

In some of his video's he mentions casting up to 150ft.
Now, I am not in for bashing someone online, but has anyone seen him cast in real time. Not that his casting looks bad, but the distances he mentions seem a bit unrealistic.
Cheers, Bart

Unfortunately line plus leader plus backing doesn’t equal distance reached! I remember many years ago I talked about casting 40 yards with the 5WT on Sexyloops. This was the maths I had used too. Finally a few years later when I got the tape meausure out I found that I was only throwing 105’ when I thought I was throwing 120’. Having discovered that it took me another 2 years to actually throw 120’
He’s a good casters and has won lots of championships in the past. It’s a pity that he doesn’t enter the worlds. He obviously follows it. There’s a “seniors” division now, and it won’t be too long before we’re all in it
I haven’t met him. I know Jon Allen had a lesson with him. It was after that lesson that Jon came down for a lesson with me and I first got interested in distance casting. We’re going back about 15 years now.
Anyway needs the tape measure. No wind. Off the floor. That’s really the mark. Anything over 120’ in those conditions is still world class.
Cheers, Paul
