Years ago at a demonstration Lefty was giving he discussed tying a nail knot with 6x on the line to use as a distance indicator - great when night fishing off the beach for Striped Bass. He was rewriting his knot book at the time, and so I said he should name the knot "Braille Knot" . He liked the idea, and said he would give me credit - don't know if that ever happened, but there you are... .

The nail knot idea was one I used effectively when starting out and fishing at night. I don't know where I got the idea from though.
