Long Belly Spey Lines

#1

Post by Paul Arden »

Hi folks,

So I’m trying to track down an XLT but this might be impossible. What long belly Spey lines do people recommend nowadays? What lines are being used in the 15’ WCs?

Anything highly recommended from SA or RÍO?

Thanks,
Paul

Yep! Lasse and I had an agreement that we would compete for second to last place in the WCs. :)

XLT went out of production like 15 years ago mate 🙂

Long belly spey lines , the rio longhead spey, the ballistic vector and gaelforce 63 ft head are all good and made by Rio btw.

For competition, gaelforce EED 80 foot is the most used line, lots of similar ones around too, or make your own head 😉

Looking forward to beating you in that event too at the WC
🤪

Cheers
Lasse

Yep I’ve just emailed Simon. I hope you won’t be wearing girly waders for this event. :p

I think speedos would be more sporting attire.

Just one question remains… tweed or camouflage?
