year 7: "Bernd, the fly rod is a spring, which you rotate."
year 9: "Bernd, the fly rod is a flexible lever."
year 11: "Bernd, you have to understand the car-spring-brick model."
year 13: "Bernd, the fly rod is a harmonic oscillator."
year 15: "Bernd, wanna see my new fly casting model?"

year 16: "Bernd, we need slow motion. That's all."

Tons of slow motion later...
year 20: Bernd leaves it as what it is: A FLY ROD.
Oh bollocks, I've not been fly fishing that long. Do the bhuddists have an opinion on fly rods?

I don't think they would offer an opinion on rods or anything else. They would probably ask you something about the sound of a single hand rod casting.

PS. I have a flying tank. Your argument is irrelevant.

PSS. How to generate a climbing loop through control of the casting stroke is left as a (considerable) exercise to the reader.

They would probably then ask you how it can make that sound without the caster... :ninja:

We're making real progress now. The fly rod is a fly rod and without the caster it works by magic. :sorcerer:
