Hi Gary,

A Clouser, but I can do it with any fly. I’m just heading out for a fish and I’ll see what I can film when back. Perhaps try doing it at close range?

Leader length around 10’. I’ve never tried it with long leaders. I think that might be cataclysmic.

Incidentally skipping the fly though I find far more difficult. I’ll try taking it back from there.

Back with you this afternoon.

Cheers, Paul

Hi Gary,

Possibly another consideration is trajectories as well as rod plane and tracking. Anyway here is a video on my use of it (haven’t used it in a while!).

Another way of experimenting is to play with tailing loop curves. I suspect that the skipped mangrove tail might be making it difficult for you and that this collapsed cast is making the skipped cast difficult for me :D

Cheers, Paul
