Chile and Argentina

#1

Post by Alun Lovell »

Ok so I've booked a flight to Santiago and back from Buenos Aires fly out on 9/1/24 and back 22/2/24. Traveling solo with a couple of rods, I am meeting a pal for a week sea trout fishing in Argentina, but the rest is pretty open, any ideas and advice on places to go and not, I'm heading north to the Atacama desert for a bit (not for the fishing), then down to Chilean Patagonia across to Argentina and back up. Will spend a while trekking in Torres del Paine but looking for a bit of fishing rivers, lakes estuaries or salt. Happy with lakes or rivers, can't stretch to posh lodges though!

If sounds like a wonderful trip Alun! I’m messaging a few people to see if they can help :)
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.
