thought this would be a good place to hand-off some magic that has come to light recently which might not be very obvious for the average trout or, char. Reel lube isn’t totally out of the question but, maybe not everyone has a tool kit with a few different types of this stuff. Somehow, I ended up actually greasing a one of the knuckle buster flyreels and adding a little reel oil as well. Of course then I had to flood the thing with universal light-duty and before leaving on an adventure, a drop of the performance reel lube in the mix for whatever reason.

I wax my bike chain. It would work well but with reels I just use axle grease. I have used butter… (that doesn’t work well incidentally!)
