I find it curious that we have specific terms for things like mends, reach, and curves... for the delivery stroke only!

As if the same "things" can't happen on the back cast.

When they do, they are commonly just called tracking faults, because they are almost always done accidentally.

But you can do these things on purpose... like to keep from smacking yourself when the back cast is not sent 180.

I came upon this by imagining how the line follows the section in front of it... sort of like BDBs... but in the horizontal plane. It's still a work in progress but tons of fun to experiment with. :)

You are absolutely right Gary and it extends into the teaching side. How many lessons have you seen where the student is taught to verify the 5E on the back cast?
