Hello from Texas!

My name is Gabe and I began fly fishing about 2 years ago. I enjoy both freshwater and saltwater angling.

I had hit a wall of about 50-60’ and started looking online for help. I discovered Paul’s videos on YouTube and found them to be very helpful and have been able to get 70-80’ casts now.

However, I am certain I am making some fundamental mistakes/inefficiencies.

I will post a video of my cast soon in hopes that I can soon break that 100’ mark.


Any other North Texas anglers ever want to meet up and fish, shoot me a DM.

Appreciate the warm welcome! I’m a pilot by trade and get to fish some interesting places while on trips. Have done Puerto Rico, Grand Bahama, Louisiana, Colorado, Utah recently.

Currently in Canada, but no fishing this trip. When I get time, I’ll post up some videos.

Late to the party, as usual....but hello, Gabe! Now that you mention it, I do recall chatting a year or two back. You're up on the north edge of DFW, right? Did you ever get connected to Austin Orr or Danny Scarborough?
