Gday all.
Gavin from Tasmania here. Trout on fly are my main love but also dabble in the salt a bit with Australian salmon etc.
Been fly fishing now for about 20 odd years.
Have two boys as well so a lot of "fishing" time the last few years has been focused on their needs and not my own.
Would like to start developing myself as a fly caster in the future. Have some Zoom lesson teed up with Paul as a result of some rod purchases, starting in about a month or so(big month of work coming up). Really looking forward to that.

Hey everyone, my name is Mason and I am from Idaho. I’ve been fly fishing and casting for a few years now, and it is my passion. I work at Rio Products as a fly line manufacturer. I mainly fish for trout, and this year hope to expand my horizons to carp and bass as well. As for casting, I’m hoping to someday break the 100’ mark on my 5wt (and maybe further). Casting is one of my favorite aspects of our sport, and I look forward to reading of other’s experiences with the cast.

Welcome to the board, Mason. Your job is really cool! How long have you been there? Fishing for carp is fun, I haven’t fished for bass so you’ll have to tell me what that’s like when you get around to it. I’m sure you’ll hit that distance soon. In fact, when you throw further, you’ll be disappointed with a 100’ cast.

Hope to meet you over there sometime. I used to base myself up on Hebgen, West Yellowstone, many seasons ago. I’m thinking of coming back sometime if they let me in again
