Did anyone on here ever got one from casting and how long did it take you before you could cast again?

Hi Bart
Not happy timing mate.
I had it long time ago and treated it with 2 shots of cortizone(1 month a part and no casting forc2 months)
I never felt that pain again.

Now Im dealing with its fucking brother golf elbow- very enoying pain from inside of the elbow- i dont even know how I got it( a part from casting a lot)
Had few days break and its ok, but comes back and feels shity in a daily life.

Anyway to the point
Get yourself DICLOFENAC, higher mg better.
I can only buy here 25mg which calls Voltaren 25, and it works.
Ask if the doctor can prescribie you 100mg- 1 pill with dinner mate and you can chop wood next morning.
It wont cure you, but it will let you go through the WC.

Cheers
mike

Yes I got it from a month of fishing with too stiff a rod. Took around 6-8 wks to clear. It didn’t stop me but slowed me down. There are some exercises. I’ll post some tomorrow.

Cheers, Paul

PS not good timing mate. :

I noticed you’re in the WC starting lists, so you probably need some heavy duty rapid doctoring.

In the long run, however, it may help to take a look at these exercises:

https://www.summitmedicalgroup.com/libr ... exercises/

They are mostly symmetrical and therefore the exercises for golf style casters are nearly identical:

https://www.summitmedicalgroup.com/libr ... exercises/

When I had a case, 5 days off followed by those exercises helped pretty quickly. The condition likes to remind of its existence, though, if I start applying considerable power in longer sessions.

I have also been using this DVD to try to prevent problems up to forearms:

Thanks for the replies and tips guys.
I got it from casting a long belly (20m+) 27gram head.
To prevent it from ticking I tried generating as much line speed as I could. That worked for only 15min

Timing could not have been worse.

The exercise I learned was from Bruce Richards, who used it to solve his wife's TE and I've since used it to fix it one time I had it and for numerous friends.

Get a stick - say 18inches of broom handle - with your arm straight and wrist cocked upwards, rotate the doweling fully clockwise and then fully anti-clockwise and continue for say 10-20 sets. This will help and eventually solve it. My TE came from trying to instantaneously stop a very stiff butt section repeatedly over 6weeks of SWFF in Exmouth WA. I also got it from an outboard engine with a damaged prop. Whatever gave you the problem won't help if you continue to use it.

Cheers, Paul

Try this, unfortunately I'm an expert.
These drops work almost instantly if applied on the painful part.

Stefano. Are you planning to bring this stuff?
I already followed Michal’s advice and bought some diclofenac.
However, I am willing to try anything if needed.
