You could add Vince’s acronym SPOOTA. Statistics Pulled Out Of The Arse.

How about "SISOAP" ?
As in... a "Solution In Search Of A Problem" ?
Also working on something like : "CBSWYSI" , but that is not perfected yet!
These came to me last night while trying to apply the 170 to casts other than distance comp.

Pull back is reverse torque. Instead of stopping the rod butt we reverse its direction (subtlety).

Re: Terms and Acronyms on the Board
Bill Hanneman came up with the CCS system, because he didn't like the SP+ 590, the TCR came much laterwhinging pom wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 10:00 am Apparently (Paul) you were never happy with the CCS and the TCR started it!
I see these two coming up a lot
But the TCR 590 is probably the most CCS'ed rod on here
Cheers

Vince has sent you down the right road. But ERN stands for effective rod number, and is the line Bill would put on the rod, if he was using it, and ern 7,5 equals a 7 weight true to AFFTA line. I like IP more (intrinsic power) because it gives a better picture of the rods stiffness.
TCR 590 lands between 6,7 to 7,5ish in ERN, is it an original, the serial number would help narrow the range down
Cheers
