Why should an organization invest in casting sport?

I hope there are some people here who can answer this question.
How did you convince governing bodies that they should invest in (fly)casting sport?
We finally are having a meeting shortly and they will for sure ask "why should we invest in this".
Of course I have some ideas, but input would be very valuable.

I would like to know the answer to that too but I think it comes down to either enlightened governments, or setting the damn thing up yourself and finding funding. Good luck man. It’s what all teams need.

Cheers, Paul
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.

I think that you have to spin that 180

Why they should invest in Casting Sport (or any other ‘stream’ of sport)
Inclusivity, broader spread of potential participants, access to a wider knowledge base etc.

Identifying benefits will aid your case whilst also providing information as you should never assume that who you are communicating with knows what you are asking.

Highlight the history, participating countries, current events being run and locations etc.

It’s an opportunity to sell the opportunity - good luck.
