Hi Henry,

Hope you are well mate. Here we measure the three longest casts by pegging them and using a tape that extends from the centre of the leading edge of the platform straight to each peg. We average the three longest casts. We cast distance on grass now but at one Melbourne casting pool we used to cast distance on water in a pool that is only 30 cms deep so it was easy to place a marker in the pool for each cast and measure the length directly from the platform. Agree with your comments about wind measurements.
