well, neither Sage nor Winston seem to have glass rods in their portfolio, at least I've found none. Winston would be an example for softer rods.
Glass seems to be a niche for smaller companies like Epic for instance. I like their business model, seems to be quite clever. The risk associated with breakage is lower, less hassle with the customers. Also likely that the production costs are lower. On chinese B2B platforms are such blanks offered for $10.

Somewhere between glass and HM fly rods - actually I had never much trouble with breakage of the "cheaper" rods made from lower modulus like IM6, although I really abused them.I wonder how a carbon rod manufactured to be as damage resistant as an equivalent glass rod would perform?

What line weights do you fish Torsten? In #5 upwards it has always been nymph or cone head strikes that caused a rod break for me. #3 and below it has been due to sticking the tip into the tree or a bank, the cf tips are very fine diameters. I’ve never broken a glass rod, nor heard of one broken.

Carbon fibers are somehow brittle, it is the commercialisation of nanoparticles in resins which improved their resistance to shock.

Would the fiberglass manifesto an be and explanation for why there is little option for a fiberglass Spey rod? Or, is boron the purpose of a #4 rod that handles flyline two sizes up…

I have made a glass Spey rod. It’s okay but I do prefer the CF one.
Quite a few companies have or have head blanks shorter than 9’. That s not that noteworthy.
