Yes! Please do a FP on how you make the welded loops!
I have the clear shrink tubing and the heat gun, and have recently attempted to make some loops - without success.
Although I think you might have already identified my problem... the loops I've tried were on lines that did not have braid inside and I could not weave the core. But the line manufacturer somehow made welded loops?
Do you recommend a specific temperature setting for PVC or do you just observe and stop when cooking looks done?
Have you tried this with non-PVC lines?

BTW... I'm pretty sure it was your info in the past that got me started splicing lines for shooting heads? I made some decent (looking) splices, but my loops won't hold. Now I've lost confidence if the spliced shooting heads will hold up with a fish as I've only used them for casting practice so far.

Before I offered to make an FP on making loops, I should have turned on my head and remembered that I have actually made a casting movie, where I also cover both splicing and welding loops.
